We know little about the “Grocery and Variety Store” run by Ed. Grant.  I’m not sure this is an ancestor of the Grant family that has lived in the Whitney vicinity in recent years.  I doubt there are pictures of the store, but it would be interesting to have further information on its location and what merchandise/ products were sold, especially since the Burkitt store was long established and remained a viable business for many years in Whitney.  Perhaps you know and can e-mail us with further information!
